Platina is an Australian-based resources company. The company controls a portfolio of precious, speciality and base metal projects at various stage of development. Shareholder value is created by advancing these projects through exploration, feasibility, permitting and towards development and realising value through either sale, joint venture or development.

Our portfolio’s flagship is the Blue Moon Project in California, a drill-ready, high-grade zinc-copper-gold deposit with significant valuation upside. Drilling in early 2020 returned some of the highest grades ever intersected at the deposit.

The company’s Owendale Project in New South Wales has the potential to be Australia’s first scandium producer with a shallow depth allowing open-pit mining, exceptionally high scandium grades and appreciable cobalt, platinum and nickel credits. In December 2018, our Definitive Feasibility Study confirmed the technical and financial viability of constructing a simple, low-strip ratio, open-cut mining operation and processing facility producing scandium oxide.

Our Skaergaard Project in Greenland hosts one of the one of the world’s largest undeveloped gold deposits and largest resources of palladium outside of South Africa and Russia. A Scoping Study completed in December 2019 highlighted development potential and is currently determining the best options to monetise the project.

Platina and its 70 per cent JV partner Artemis Resources continue to examine options to monetise the Munni Munni project in Western Australia which hosts one of Australia’s most significant PGM occurrences.
